Nigerian presidential candidate Peter Obi is optimistic that his economic reforms will transform the economy and make a lasting impact in making Nigeria safer, more prosperous and more democratic. Obi says that Nigeria is in desperate need of structural reforms and that the country now faces the real challenges of growth, poverty, unemployment and corruption. He says that his reforms come from his strong belief that Nigeria must make it possible for people to get ahead in life. The former foreign minister says that a lot of progress could be made if Nigeria’s economy is given the opportunity to develop. Obi says that his reforms will strengthen the economy and make the lives of Nigerians more secure, safer and more prosperous.

Peter Obi (PYE) has released his economic reform package. He says that he will do all that is possible to ensure that the Nigerian people are able to get ahead in life. “So where once there was desperation, there will now be opportunity for all Nigerians. I am not giving out free lunches, I am not giving out free meals, what I am doing is giving opportunity. And as a politician you must always be the change you want to see in the country,” Obi says. He says that by reforming the economy, he will make the lives of Nigerians even better.

Obi’s package calls for the government to reduce bureaucracy, make investment easier, attract more investments, reform labour laws and introduce new economic incentives. He says that Nigeria’s future is a bright one if the country can make it possible for people to get ahead in life. “The current state is very bad. Where once there was desperation, there will now be opportunity for all Nigerians.
