Taylor Swift recounts ‘nightmare’ audition with Eddie Redmayne for ‘Les Misérables’ in a new interview.

The ‘Blank Space’ singer told the magazine: “I went in thinking I was going to work with Eddie Redmayne and his wonderful family and to meet an amazing group of children and that is how we started our friendship.

“He came in and gave his name and my name, and he did his own thing and I watched him perform and it was just a night in the life.

“Afterwards, we had a discussion with each other about it and he seemed to like our work so much.

“He then came in to meet my dad and we had to get our things and take our stuff to my dad’s studio, so we made it in time.

“When we got back into the car, he wasn’t too happy about it. He said, ‘I would have liked more of a discussion’.

“What really turned me off was the fact that my dad was really upset, so that really gave me the creeps.

“I just didn’t quite understand what the relationship was because he’s a really, really nice guy. It’s just not right for me.”

Swift added in the interview with NME’s Sam Wollaston: “Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. You think you know everything about another person. I don’t know what made him think I wasn’t being myself.”

The ‘1924’ actor had been working with the 25-year-old singer on a musical, and she was forced to cancel the gig because of a scheduling conflict.
